vSphere安裝vmtools

1.下載vmtools

打開官方站點(diǎn)：https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/downloads

在搜索欄中輸入vmtools

找到一個合適的版本下載

解壓

2.上傳到ESXi或共享存儲

依次選中ESXI主機(jī)—配置存儲器，這里選擇本地存儲datastore1

在datastore1上右鍵選擇“瀏覽數(shù)據(jù)存儲”

選中tools文件夾，上傳

上傳成功后，可以看到多了一個vmtools文件夾，打開可以看到里面有各種vmtools的iso鏡像

3.安裝vmtools

windows下安裝vmtools

在虛擬機(jī)列表中，找到需要安裝vmtools的windows 2003

單擊右鍵“打開控制臺”，登陸系統(tǒng)

由于之前安裝的時候使用了windows 2003的光盤，現(xiàn)在需要先彈出光盤鏡像，然后掛上vmtools中windows的鏡像

然后編輯虛擬機(jī)設(shè)置，將光盤鏡像替換為vmtools的ISO文件

再回到控制臺

windows將開始自動安裝vmtools，直接下一步，下一步，完成安裝。

注意：由于是第一次安裝vmtools，安裝完成后系統(tǒng)會要求重啟以應(yīng)用更新。（以后升級vmtools的時候不需要重啟）

重啟完成后，即完成安裝。

Linux下的vmtools安裝

同樣，卸載之前的系統(tǒng)安裝光盤，掛載上vmtools，注意，這里是掛載linux下的vmtools

注意：如果之前掛載系統(tǒng)盤安裝了，一定要進(jìn)系統(tǒng)把系統(tǒng)鏡像ISO卸載了，才能替換成vmtools的鏡像

回到控制臺，打開命令行，使用mount命令掛載剛才替換的vmtools鏡像

mount /dev/cdrom /media

這里會提示掛載的鏡像是只讀方式：mount：block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected，mounting read-only

進(jìn)入到/media下，可以看到一個VMwareTools-10.0.8-3746311.tar.gz

由于光盤鏡像內(nèi)的文件是只讀的，所有我們將其拷貝出來再解壓安裝

cp VMwareTools-10.0.8-3746311.tar.gz /root

然后切換到/root目錄下，解壓安裝

tar -xvf VMwareTools-10.0.8-3746311.tar.gz

可以看到/root下多了一個vmware-tools-distrib文件夾

進(jìn)去查看，可以找到一個vmware-install.pl文件

執(zhí)行

./vmware-install.pl

開始安裝
