YUM可以自動安裝軟件包的依賴包，例如當(dāng)你使用yum安裝httpd時，它還會自動安裝https apache server以及它依賴的軟件包。通過rpm軟件包安裝時就沒有這么方便咯（譯注：就是不會自動處理軟件包依賴問題咯?。?，你必須下載所有它依賴的軟件包，然后依序安裝它們。

使用yum update 命令更新一個已存在的軟件包

默認(rèn)情況下軟件包會被下載到/var/cache/yum/目錄，但是你可以添加額外選項(xiàng)將其下載到指定位置

# yum install httpd-devel -downloadonly -downloaddir=/opt

假如你有一個rpm軟件包但是沒有它所依賴的軟件包，你不知道到哪去得到它所依賴的軟件包。你仍然可以通過yum安裝這個rpm軟件包，并從軟件倉庫里得到它所依賴的軟件包。讓我們安裝剛剛下載的httpd-devel-2.2.15-29.el64.x8664 RPM軟件包。
